General: This Concentrate is designed for use undiluted in mechanical sprayers which give particle size of aerosol size, such as the LECO Mini ULV or Micro-Gen Micron Generator. It can be diluted with refined kerosenes and can be applied in fogging equipment that gives larger than aerosol particle size, such as the Microsol or Challenger machines. It can also be diluted with oil specified above and applied as a contact spray to kill crawling insects shown later on this label. space spray - Undiluted in Aerosol Generators - to Kill Flies, Mosquitoes and Gnats: Cover or remove exposed food and food handling surfaces. Close room and shut off all air conditioning or ventilating equipment. Apply at the rate of 100 mL of undiluted Concentrate per 100 cubic meters of space. Direct output from aerosol or generator upward toward upper corners of room and ceiling. Leave room closed for 1/2 hour. Wear a mask or respirator of a type to give adequate protection against this material. Wear protective clothing. Wash hands, arms and face with soap and water after handling and before eating or smoking. Remove pets, birds and cover fish aquariums before spraying. Do not use on food. Food should be removed or covered during treatment. All food processing surfaces and utensils should be covered during treatment or thoroughly cleaned after spraying and before processing food. When using the product in these areas, apply only when the facility is not in operation. Products for use in meat packing plants must be approved by the Meat Inspection Division, Health of Animals Branch, Agriculture Canada. First Aid: if swallowed: Call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give any liquid to the person. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. if on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: This formulation may be used in mosquito adulticiding programs involving residential and recreational areas, overgrown wasteland areas, roadsides and pastures where adult mosquitoes are present in annoying numbers. Best results are obtained by application when there is a slight breeze of 3.25 km/hr or less. Fog with the breeze so that the wind will carry fog from roads or paths into the area to be treated. Repeat applications as needed to obtain desired reduction in adult mosquito population. FOR TRUCK-MOUNTED LECO MACHINE: The objective is to treat terrain with 2.5 to 3 grams of pyrethrins and 25 to 31.25 grams of piperonyl butoxide per hectare. Fog this solution with a discharge rate of 60 to 67.5 mL per minute while machine is moving 3.25 km/h and pressure is set at 210.9 g/cu cm. Discharge nozzle is positioned approximately 30 degrees above horizontal off side of truck bed. Delivery rate and travelling speed can be varied slightly, as long as the basic objective of 2.5 to 3 grams actual pyrethrins per hectare is maintained. Use swath width of 100 metres for hectare calculations. PRECAUTIONS: Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Avoid breathing vapours or spray mist. Wear mask or respirator when applying spray mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not contaminate food or feedstuffs. This product is toxic to fish and other aquatic animals.
